鉴赏：想到草木不断地在飘零凋谢，不禁担忧美人也会日益衰老。迟暮：是指年老。光阴如梭，美人的青春就像日益飘零的草木。作者感叹岁月无情，来日无多，只希望能把握住短暂的人生，做出一番事业。

原诗：

纷吾既有此内美兮，又重之以修能。扈江离与辟芷兮，纫秋兰以为佩。汩余若将不及兮，恐年岁之不吾与。朝搴阮之木兰兮，夕揽州之宿莽。

日月忽其不淹兮，春与秋其代序。惟草木之零落兮，恐美人之迟暮。不抚壮而弃秽兮，何不改此度？乘骐骥以驰骋兮，来吾导夫先路！
